Our 12 years experience in the
industry has taught us that it is unwise to make extravagant claims about
recycled products. Always bear in mind that the printer manufacturers don’t make
profits from the printers, but from the ongoing sales of their branded
cartridges which are all designed as
disposable items.
It is against their interests to make an
easily-recyclable cartridge. We are starting to encounter the new generation
of inkjet printers which have a smart chip to disable the cartridge permanently
after the original print cycle!
Part of our personal service is
giving honest advice about what can’t be done, for example:

Cartridge models which usually “die” at the
end of their original print cycle;
·
Cartridge models which are unlikely to be
successfully recycled more than once;
·
Printer brands where recycling may give rise
to warranty problems.
But on a more positive note – we
have countless examples of:

Printer cartridges that have been recycled
so many times that there is no room left to apply our recycle tracking labels.

Laser cartridges which have had so many
changes of worn out components that almost nothiong of the original cartridge
remains.

Customers who bought an inkjet refill kit
years ago and reorder the ink in bulk to keep their cartridge going.
